Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity - 1 Timothy 4:12
JUWAKWATA ( Kiswahili acronym for The Tanzania Born-Again Students Christian Fellowship)has its origin, in 1980's desire of born-again students in Dar-es-Salaam secondary schools to fellowship and organize themselves in order to reach the lost students in the schools. Hence, its official formation in early 1990's. Since then many students have been saved and many others were able to persevere through school years temptations and withstand pressure to fall away from the faith. Many have excelled in the academics and now serve in public and private sectors. Others have become full time ministers as well. Also, its Alumni can now be found in the four corners of the world.
Currently,it is going strong with the same vision and seeks to extend to other regions especially the areas where are predominantly non- Christian populations.
